Participate in Lifestyle Medicine Research
Help Shape the Future of Health. Your participation doesn’t just help researchers. It can also help you take meaningful steps toward improving your own health, guided by evidence-based practices and the support of a passionate, experienced healthcare team.
At the ELIA Wellness, we believe that better health starts with better understanding—and that means learning from real people, like you. By participating in our research programs through our Lifestyle Medicine Centres, you're contributing to a growing body of knowledge that is helping to transform the prevention and management of lifestyle-related diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, and more.
Why Participate in Research?
Lifestyle Medicine is focused on treating the root causes of chronic disease—nutrition, activity, sleep, stress, connection, and purpose. But to keep improving, we need to continually learn how real-life interventions impact real people.
By joining a research study, you will:
- Contribute to the advancement of personalised, preventative healthcare
- Gain insights into your own health and wellness
- Receive support from qualified Lifestyle Medicine practitioners
- Help create a future where people can thrive—not just survive
Whether you're managing a condition or simply interested in improving your health, your participation adds value to research that benefits the wider community.
Current Research Focus: Type 2 Diabetes Study
One of our key areas of research right now is type 2 diabetes, a condition that affects millions of Australians and is heavily influenced by lifestyle factors.
Our Free Diabetes Research Study is designed to explore how lifestyle interventions—such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and mindset—can improve or even reverse the course of type 2 diabetes.
Key features of the study:
- Free to eligible participants diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- Guided support from qualified Lifestyle Medicine practitioners
- Includes personalised assessments, practical tools and resources
- Designed to help you make sustainable lifestyle changes
- Open to those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes
